500-HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
This program is a combination of the materials in both the 200-hour and 300-hour trainings we offer. Typically, the 200-Hour & 300-Hour programs are scheduled in close proximity of each other, preferably at least six months apart.
The 500-hour program is only recommended for those having a few years of yoga experience as either a student or a teacher or both. If you are new to yoga, the suggestion is to be gentle with yourself by deeply considering the commitment, time and energy required to complete a 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training course. Even for the yoga enthusiast, an overwhelm of information and training all at once is not a kindness to oneself.
During my Yogic journey, I have come across a few, brave souls who have undertaken the 500-hour yoga training program, which means they studied both the 200-hour and the 300-hour courses back-to-back. I asked them the question, “If you were aware of the many challenges associated with taking a 500-hour course all at once, would you do it all again?" The answer was an overwhelming NO! The continuum of both mental and physical fatigue made it difficult for these students to fully participate in the program on a day-to-day basis.
We want you to be able to fully participate and ENJOY your training!
When I took my 300-hour training, I had been teaching yoga for 10 years with a 200-hour certification. The information and training I received in the 300-hour course added seamlessly to my established yoga knowledge base. The 300-hour training was quite challenging at times, but also quite enjoyable! When I returned to my local yoga studio to teach, I was able to easily assimilate what I learned.
